The social districts in Uptown Greenville are being changed, just two months after they went active.
After a Greenville City Council vote on Monday, the Uptown and Dickinson Avenue Social Districts will be combined into one social district, beginning February 1. It will be called the Greenville Uptown Social District.
The hours have been changed to 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday through Saturday.
Social districts allow people to drink beer, wine, or cocktails purchased from licensed sellers as they walk through a defined area of the downtown.
