Former President Donald Trump was in Wilmington, North Carolina on Friday night as part of his Save America Tour, where he stumped for Senate Candidate Ted Budd.

Budd is locked in a tight race with Democrat Cherie Beasley.

During his speech, Trump received loud applause as he repeated the lie that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

He also took aim at Democrats for a string of legal issues he's encountered in recent months.

“There's no better example of the left's chilling obsession with targeting political opponents than the baseless, abusive and depraved lawsuit against me, my family, my company,” he said.

New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a civil lawsuit against Trump and his three children on Wednesday, accusing them of lying to lenders and insurers by fraudulently overvaluing assets.
