A manufacturer of wood trusses and building components for the construction industry will locate a new manufacturing facility in Robeson County. Gov. Roy Cooper made the announcement Thursday that Atlantic Building Components and Services will invest $6 million in a facility in Fairmont that would allow the company to expand production lines, along with additional support and materials storage areas. The new facility will create over 100 jobs in the community. The average salary for all the new positions will be around $48,700. According to a news release, the project will be facilitated, in part, by a Job Development Investment Grant, approved by the state’s Economic Investment Committee on Thursday.
