The Ocracoke Express passenger ferry will begin its fourth season on May 17

The passenger ferry service between Hatteras and Ocracoke Villiage will begin its fourth season later this month. According to the N.C. Department of Transportation's Ferry Division, a brand new Ocracoke Express ferry will make its debut on May 17th carrying up to 129 passengers on a 70-minute trip between Hatteras and Silver Lake Harbor. The ferry will make three round trips daily and one-way fares are $5, with an additional $1 charge for bicycles. The Ferry Divison offers the passenger ferry in addition to vehicle ferries that run between Hatteras and the north end of Ocracoke Island.
