Onslow County reports 11 additional COVID-19 deaths

Onslow County reports 11 additional deaths attributed to COVID-19. Eight individuals were over 65, and three were under 65. Onslow’s COVID-19 fatality count now stands at 354. According to a news release, 569 new cases were reported in the past week. The county currently has about 957 active cases, the lowest since January. There are 28 clusters and outbreaks in the county. Onslow’s positivity rate dropped over 11 percentage points over the past week. It’s down to 22.2%. The county’s vaccination rate continues to increase. Over 75% of Onslow residents have received at least one shot compared to 65% statewide.
