'Monkey Business' Pays Off for the Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas are on a roll. They are out on tour supporting a CD that is near the top of the Billboard Album Charts. Monkey Business is the group's second release to win them fans nationwide.

The hip hop quartet's Elephunk sold more than seven million copies. Now, Monkey Business is following in its platinum footsteps.

Based in Los Angeles, Will.I.Am, Apl, Jamie "Taboo" Gomez and Fergie blend high-energy party music with socially conscious lyrics.

Jack Johnson is just one of many well-known artists who have collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas. He and Will.I.Am wrote a song together about the dangers of pop stardom. But it's a subject that the group is familiar with after more than two years in the public eye.

The Black Eyed Peas will be performing at the Live 8 concert in Philadelphia on Saturday, an event intended to raise the public's awareness of poverty in Africa. The group can also be seen on tour in North America this summer.
