New York Times reporter Judith Miller faces jail time over her refusal to divulge details about sources.

Journalists Judith Miller and Matt Cooper discuss their court case, in which they face jail time for refusing to reveal their sources in an investigation into the leak of a CIA officer's name. Despite attorney Floyd Abrams's efforts, on Feb. 15, 2005, a federal appeals court upheld a ruling against the two.

Cooper, the White House correspondent for Time magazine, and Miller, of The New York Times, did not publish the name, which was printed in a syndicated column by Robert Novak of The Chicago Sun-Times.

Miller is a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter. In addiation to Time, Cooper has also worked for U.S. News and World Report and Newsweek. Abrams, their attorney, is a professor of First Amendment law at Columbia University.

Combine an intelligent interviewer with a roster of guests that, according to the Chicago Tribune, would be prized by any talk-show host, and you're bound to get an interesting conversation. Fresh Air interviews, though, are in a category by themselves, distinguished by the unique approach of host and executive producer Terry Gross. "A remarkable blend of empathy and warmth, genuine curiosity and sharp intelligence," says the San Francisco Chronicle.
