Could NBA Deal Drive Up Customer Bills?

The NBA and its television partners are defending a new $24 million media rights deal, saying that it’s evidence that sports programming is increasingly valuable.

The nine-year pact would more or less triple the average fees the NBA gets from ESPN and Turner Broadcasting, leading to some to criticize the arrangement.
