A press release from the state Department of Transportation advises those looking at used cars to be on the lookout for evidence the car may have been flooded. The National Weather Service says rain over the past 90 days has been 10 inches above normal… enough, the Department of Motor Vehicles says, to put some cars under water. DMV warns potential buyers to look over used cars from the state or anywhere along the eastern seaboard closely. Among tips for identifying flooded vehicles… check the vehicle interior for water lines whose stains are hard to remove and check all electronics as flooding can cause those systems to malfunction. I’m George Olsen.
