Tuscarora tobacco pipes

The style of these Tuscarora tobacco pipes influenced European designs.

With gnawed stems and charred bowls, these centuries-old tobacco pipes still show signs of use. Found on a beach in Pamlico County, these pipes are on display at the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort.
