Some ENC Election Day Voting Sites Have Changed Due To Hurricane Damage

Election Day voting sites in five Eastern North Carolina counties have changed due to damages from Hurricane Florence.

Beaufort County

Voters in the Washington Park precinct will cast their ballots at the Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 641 River Road, in Washington, instead of at the Washington Park Municipal Building.

Carteret County

Two Election Day voting sites were moved in Carteret County.

Voters in the Merrimon precinct will cast their ballots at Merrimon United Methodist Church, 5012 Merrimon Road, in Beaufort, instead of at the town’s Fire and Rescue Station.  

The voting site for Otway, Straits and Bettie residents has been moved from the Rescue Building in Otway to Woodville Baptist Church, 450 US 70, in Bettie.

Craven County

Three Election Day voting sites have changed in Craven County.

Voters in the Havelock precinct will cast their ballots at the New Beginnings Ministry of Faith, 30 Park Lane, in Havelock, instead of at the town’s Tourist and Event Center.

The Glenburnie precinct’s polling site has been moved from the National Guard Armory to H.J. MacDonald Middle School, at 3127 S. Glenburnie Ave., in New Bern.

The Brices Creek precinct’s site is now located at New Song Church, 521 W. Grantham Rd., in New Bern, instead of at the No. 7 Fire Department Substation.

Duplin County

Voters in the Chinquapin precinct will cast their ballots at Sharon Baptist Church, 2775 S. NC 41&50, in Chinquapin, instead of at the town’s Volunteer Fire Department.

Jones County

Voters in the Trenton precinct will cast their ballots at the county’s Board of Election’s office, 367 North Carolina Hwy 58, in Trenton, instead of at the Trenton Missionary Baptist Church.

Pamlico, Pitt, Onslow, Lenoir and Wayne Counties had no changes to Election Day voting sites.

Polls are open on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
