Pitt County will launch their Low-Income Energy Assistance Program and Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program on Wednesday. PRE’s Meredith Radford has more.
Both programs are administered by Pitt County’s Department of Social Services. The energy program provides one-time vendor payments for eligible families who need help paying home heating bills, and the household water program helps prevent disconnection and assist with reconnection of drinking and wastewater services.
Applications will be accepted beginning Dec. 1st. The time when people should submit applications varies based on which priority group they fall in. Applications can be submitted online, by phone or in person at various locations throughout the County.
