INTRO – A Beaufort County manufacturer has announced it will expand operations at its Washington plant. George Olsen has more.
The Governor’s Office announced that idX Impressions will spend $3 million over the next three years to expand its operations in Washington. The expansion is expected to create 159 new jobs. No average salary was announced for the positions but the average annual payroll for the new jobs is expected to be over $4.8 million plus benefits. IDX builds store fixtures for companies worldwide, including banks, retailers and telecom companies. It currently employs 84 people in the state. IDX could receive a $300,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund dependent on meeting job creation and investment goals as well as local matches. I’m George Olsen.
