Hyde County Schools Receive Nearly $5 Million To Repair After Dorian

Hyde Co. Schools - Facebook

Hyde County Schools will receive $4.9 million in additional state funds to clean up and repair damage sustained during Hurricane Dorian. A press release from the state Department of Public Instruction says the money was made available through a 2018 General Assembly appropriation of $91.5 million to provide hurricane disaster relief. Dorian severely damaged the campus of Ocracoke School, causing considerable damage to several buildings, some of which will need to be replaced.
