NCDPS

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services reported Friday more than 7,500 new coronavirus cases.  That’s double the amount of daily cases reported by the state a month ago.

“Having more than 7,500 cases is staggering and alarming,” said Dr. Mandy Cohen, the Secretary for the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services in a news release. “We are now seeing the impact of Thanksgiving gatherings. Gov. Roy Cooper’s modified Stay at Home Order goes into effect Friday night requiring people to stay at home between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Many business, including bars, restaurants, and retail stores will be required to close by 10 p.m.
