Carteret County Sheriff Urges Drivers To Practice Safety On Roads This Labor Day Weekend

NC Highway Patrol

The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office said the Labor Day holiday traditionally causes one of the highest traffic flows of the year, according to a news release. The release said residents should remember to always shift your attention every few seconds and scanning the road when driving, to always signal your intentions with brake lights, turn signals or headlights and to never follow too closely, among other driving safety practices. Sheriff Asa Buck said in the release to be courteous and tolerant of other drivers to make the roads safe this Labor Day weekend.
