Airports in North Carolina will receive almost $460 million over the next five years, including some in the East. PRE’s Meredith Radford has more.
Airports in the state receiving funding include four in Eastern North Carolina.
Each year for the next five years, Albert J. Ellis Airport in Richlands will receive $1.7 million, Coastal Carolina Regional in New Bern will receive $1.4 million, Pitt-Greenville will receive $1 million and Wilmington International will receive almost $3.8 million.
These funds will be allocated through the Airport Infrastructure Grant included in President Joe Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
