Adolphus Earl Kimrey II, the man charged with murdering 3-year-old Mariah Woods in November 2017, is scheduled to be in court today (Monday.)
Kimrey was the live-in boyfriend of Kristy Woods, Mariah’s mother.
Investigators have said Kristy Woods told them she put Mariah to bed at their home and discovered the toddler was missing the next day.
Mariah was found dead in a creek in Pender County several days later and an autopsy found that she died from chloroform toxicity.
Kimrey is charged with first-degree murder. His trial has been delayed several times.
