Businesses that were hit hard by the pandemic may be eligible for a grant to help them recover. The N.C. Department of Revenue will launch the second phase of its Business Recovery Grant Program on May 2. According to a news release, $200 million remains available to businesses that experienced an economic loss of at least 20 percent during the pandemic. Phase 1 focused on businesses in the hospitality industry. In the next phase, the program’s eligibility criteria have expanded, allowing additional businesses like gyms, salons, dentists, mechanics, and farmers to qualify for the grants. The application deadline is June 1.
