Almost $30 million in federal funding will go to Lenoir County to help expand broadband access. The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration announced Friday in a news release that the award will fund the county’s Fiber to the Home Expansion project which will deploy last-mile broadband to more than 15-thousand households in Lenoir County.
